

Born on December 2, 1947, in Southington, Richard was the son of the late Floyd and Hilda (Jandreau) Berube.
Richard was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving his country during the Vietnam War. He worked as a mortgage broker for Ladd Mortgage until his retirement. He was a member of American Legion Post 72 and the Polish Falcons Nest 307 in Plantsville.
Family was especially important to Richard. He enjoyed coaching his boys in soccer as they were growing up and cherished the many years of traveling with his beloved wife, Caren. He was also an avid UConn basketball fan and enjoyed watching the games.
Richard is survived by his two sons, Andrew Berube and his girlfriend, Cathy, of Norwich, Terrance Berube of Southington and his girlfriend, Kylee, of Burlington, and; his siblings, Roger Berube, Russell Berube and his wife, Janice, Rinette Potter and her husband, William and Robert Berube and his wife, Peggy; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Berube.
Calling hours for Richard will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Caren, at South End Cemetery, Plantsville at the convenience of the family.
Richard will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to his country, and the many memories he created with those he loved. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
