Born July 21, 1963 he was the son of Allan R. Peterson Sr. of Southington and the late Erna (Wolf) Peterson.
Besides his father, Richard leaves four brothers, John Peterson and wife Susan of Plantsville, Allan R. Peterson Jr. and wife Kathy of Westbrook, ME, David Peterson of Bristol and Roger Peterson and wife Christine of Plantsville; two nieces, Melissa and April and a nephew Carl.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., CT/W. MA Office, 306 Industrial Park Rd., Suite 108, Middletown, CT 06457.
