Rita Donais

Rita S. (Biron) Donais, beloved wife of the late George R. Donais passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Wolcott View Manor surrounded by the love and constant support of her niece Sandi and Monique. Born in Waterbury on July 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Roland M. and Rose (Perron) Biron. She was a Waterbury resident for most of her life and a parishioner of St. Anne Church. She was a retired employee of Highland Manufacturing. She enjoyed word puzzles and ceramics. Listening to and singing were a past time she thoroughly enjoyed, she would sing a song every night for the staff at Wolcott View.

Rita is survived by her niece Sandi and her husband Anthony Daddona with whom she lived with after the passing of her husband in Bethlehem. She also leaves her loving nephew Allen and his wife Madalyn Biron who made it a point to visit with her often and shared many memories. She enjoyed time spent with her great-nephew Jason and his wife Ashley Daddona and her great niece Amanda Daddona. She was admired and adored by very special family and friends Monique Chicoine, Debbie (Daddona) Richard and Mark D'Amato.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother Maurice (Jane) Biron and her sister Simone (Edward) Caouette and her nephew Robert Caouette.

A Mass of Christian burial was privately held at the Shrine of St. Anne followed by entombment in Calvary Cemetery.

The family would also like to thank the Staff of Wolcott View Manor for their dedication of care for Rita. Her heart was touched by many of them.

It is with great appreciation to the staff of VITAS Home Care that Rita's final days were comfortable and loved.
