I have known Bob for more than 30 years---he was the best man at our wedding and a very dear friend.   He was my husband Paul's closest friend.   We were devastated when Bob was diagnosed with cancer but he never wanted any pity.   Despite all odds, he remained focused on living a normal life and was truly an inspiration to all.  We often wondered how he did it.   Despite the tough exterior that he sometimes portrayed, he had a heart of gold.   He was a source of comfort to me when I lost my husband last year.   I am comforfed by the fact that he has now been reunited with Eric---his children were so important to him.   In my heart, I know that he and Paul can now be friends for eternity.   My heartfelt sympathy to his family and all of his friends who stayed by his side until the end.

The Primus family and the staff at Farmstead Apartments have known Bob for many years and have always had the greatest respect for him. Even through his suffering, here was a man who would never say "quit." We all admired his fierce work ethic, tenacity, and unwillingness to give in to harsh circumstances. He is a man to be admired,  and will be missed greatly. We wish him peace and the rest that he so deserved.

I've known Bob since kindergarten.  We lived next to each other and in many ways grew up living the American dream.  Bob had loving parents and I can remember many many days spent at Bob's house playing basket ball or pool or just hanging out.  He was always organizing sand lot baseball or football games.  Sports were a very important part of Bob's life.  Golf became a passion for Bob as well as Red Sox baseball.  I remember spending many times with Bob playing golf at Red Stone Golf Course.  We used to get together and watch the Red Sox on TV whenever they played the Yankees.  My wife and I moved to South Carolina 5 years ago, but we would still talk to each other on the phone every week.  Our friendship lasted through the years and I was blessed to have a friend like Bob in my life.  You will be missed Bob.

I worked with Bob many years ago at New Departure Hyatt in Bristol. We saw each other several times since then. He was reliable, honest, steady, friendly and optimistic.
    My condolences to family and friends. Bob was one of the good ones.

Dear Jane and Marc,
I'm so sorry about the passing of Bob - "Robbie" as I remember him being called that by his mom. I knew him only briefly while I worked in Southington but he came from a loving family who will miss him dearly. My deepest sympathy to both of you and his children. I do remember how difficult it is to lose a child and a  brother so young.

To Bob's family and friends, We all share the sadness of losing someone close to us. So many thoughts run thru my mind as I write this.  Bob was certainly one of the most courageous guys I know battling cancer. He continued to work and play often saying " what am I going to do just sit around". 
My closest friendship with him was on the golf course where he was my partner at Pequabuck and my weekly foursome at other times. He had an aversion to using the word " should've" on the course and would never let a chance go by without reminding me of it.
 One day at Simsbury Farms Bob hit a blind shot toward the green that we spend 5-10 minutes looking for only to find it in the cup for an Eagle, his only one. I'm sure that was his most memorable shot. Just a week before he passed we had our league golf outing and Bob had a long putt for birdie that ended up being the winning shot in the competion. This are memories that I'll always think of.
  Bob was a great friend and many of us were his friends for life. I knew Bob since high school track and cross country. Some have been friends since grade school. He valued all of us and we share the sorrow of his passing.
