

Robert Peter Castriciano, 72, of Wolcott, beloved husband of Bonnie (Hanks) Castriciano, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 while on an annual sailing regatta in Italy. He was born on May 28, 1943 in Hartford son of the late Alice (Carlson) Angelico and Peter Castriciano. Robert’s father Peter was killed in WWII and was raised by the late Anthony Angelico as his own son.
Robert was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy, attended Mitchell College and graduated from Richmond University with a Bachelors degree in business.He was in the kitchen manufacturing industry, first in the Boston area, then in Waterbury, moving to Wolcott in 1978. He worked at LesCare Kitchens in Waterbury for many years as Vice President of Sales, then at Apple Valley Kitchens in Southington until his retirement, being well respected in the kitchen manufacturing industry.
He enjoyed golfing traveling, his annual sailing trips, was an active member of the Wolcott Lions Club, donating much of his time to their various activities. Most of all he enjoyed times spent with family, friends and Sparky. He was also a Mason and served on town committees and organizations giving unselfishly of his time. He was a wonderful father, husband, and friend, always ready to lend a hand, and will be missed by all.
Besides his wife Bonnie, he is also survived by a daughter Wendy Crossman of Bristol and a son Christopher Castriciano and wife Carmela of Farmington. He was pre-deceased by a sister Susan Angelico.
Calling hours will be on Monday, June 15, 2015 from 4-7 pm and again Tuesday from 9:30-11 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery following Tuesdays calling hours.
