Ronald J. Adamczyk, 77, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2023 after a brief illness at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden. He was the loving husband of the late Catherine (Clay) Adamczyk.
He was born April 19, 1946 in Meriden to the late Walter and Jean (Gmitzuk) Adamczyk.
Ron was employed by Allegany Ludlum for 45 years until his retirement.
He was kind hearted, generous, funny and smart. He was the ultimate handyman, he acted like he wasn’t, but he could fix or put together anything. He was always there when you needed him. He loved spending time with his family and always had cookies in his pockets for all the family dogs.
He liked anything Elvis, loved playing and watching golf. He enjoyed boating, and getting together with his old co-workers for breakfast, but his favorite hobby was 3 card poker at Mohegan Sun.
He is survived by his son Brian Adamczyk of Southington and fiancée Andrea Eustace of East Hampton, his grand dog Charlie, his nieces Wendy Dobrindt of Rocky Hill, Suzanne Dobrindt of Berlin, and Sarah Rajala of East Windsor. He was predeceased by his brother Walter Adamczyk and his sister Frances Dobrindt and his rescue beagle buddy, Barney.
Calling hours for Ron will be held on Thursday, September 28th from 4-7 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dog Star Rescue –www.dogstarrescue.org
