Beloved mother and grandmother

WOLCOTT- Mrs. Rosaria "Rose" (Campagna) Gelinas, 74, wife of the late Louis "George" Gelinas Sr., passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 with her family by her side at Waterbury Hospital.

Born in Catania, Sicily, Italy on April 8, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Sebastiano and Maria (Leotta) Campagna. She was a retired employee of Supreme Lake Manufacturing in Southington. She enjoyed activities at the Wolcott Senior Center, spending time with her family, shopping, going out to eat, sewing, gardening, painting, taking pictures, listening to Italian music and watching old movies.

Rose was the beloved mother of Lisa and her husband Scott Fields, George and his wife Darlene Gelinas, and Michael A. Gelinas all of Wolcott, sister of Francesco Campagna of Waterbury, Santa Cardillo of Naugatuck and Anna and her husband Angelo Lombardi of Hernando, FL. She also leaves her grandchildren, Ashley and her husband Axay Patel, Bret Gelinas, Miranda, Morgan and Macie Velez, Katelynn and Karson Fields to cherish her memory. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother Concetto "Jack" Campagna.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9 to 11 am. Visit www.dellavecchiafh.com for online condolences and directions.
