

Born in Waterbury on August 4, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Elodie (Bisson) Normand. She retired from the Bristol Company. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Pius X Church. She volunteered at Waterbury Hospital and was active at the Wolcott Senior Center.
Rose loved her family and took great pride in attending sporting events and other activities of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, bowling, trips to the casinos and was a UCONN women’s basketball fan.
She is survived by her three children, Rosemary and her husband William Albino Sr. of Wolcott, Thomas Desjardins and his wife Patricia of Watertown, Armand Desjardins Jr. and his wife Michele of Southport, NC, nine grandchildren, William Albino Jr. and his wife Evelyn of Wolcott, Thomas Albino and his wife Lori of Cheshire, Robert Albino and his wife Selena of Albany, NY, James “Bo” Albino and his wife Michelle of Southbury, Michele Roberts and her husband Michael of Cocoa, FL, Thomas Desjardins Jr., Michael DesJardins and his wife Leeza all of Watertown, Derek Desjardins of Houston, TX, Armand “AJ” Desjardins and his husband Matthew of NY City, fourteen great grandchildren Jaclyn, Erika, Nicole, Lindsay, Matthew, Robert Jr. , Alexa, Julia, Brendan and Luke Albino, Connor and Jackson Roberts, Emily and Sean Desjardins. She is also survived by her step children Robert Berardi and his wife Julie Berardi of Prospect, William Berardi and his wife Lynn, Nancy Berardi and her companion Michael of Naugatuck, and Lorraine Berardi all of Naugatuck, several of nieces, nephews and “special cousins”.
Besides her two husbands Rose was predeceased by brothers Gerard and George Normand, a sister Theresa Colwell and a step son Anthony Berardi Jr.
Her family would like to thank the staffs at the Village at East Farms, Apple Rehab in Watertown and Hartford Heath Care Hospice.
Mass will be at 10 AM on Saturday. Everyone is asked to meet directly at St. Pius X Church 525 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
