Rosemary Popielarczyk

Southington- Rosemary A. (Petrillo) Popielarczyk, 70, comfortably passed away at home on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012. Rosemary would have been married 50 years this year to her late husband, Stanley ?Rudy? Popielarczyk who she loved dearly.

She was born on Nov. 20, 1941, the daughter of Anna (Frascatore) Petrillo and the late Vito Petrillo. Rosemary met her husband at AETNA and worked there with him for 39 years. She was a retired officer of AARP and a long time member of Mary Our Queen Church. Rosemary enjoyed many things in life. She loved being with and entertaining her family and friends. Her other hobbies include attending and dancing at McDonalds, where her husband played in a band for many years. She also loved photography, gardening and traveling. Many who knew Rosemary knows that there was always a camera in her hand as she loved taking photos of everyone.

In addition to her mother Anna Petrillo of Southington, she leaves behind her nephew Scott Petrillo of Bristol, her niece Stephanie Gibbons and husband William and sister-in-law Linda Petrillo all of Southington. She also leaves behind her great niece and nephew Logan and Antonia Gibbons, her two uncles William Frascatore of Southington and Anthony Frascatore of Cheshire. She was predeceased by her brother Anthony R. Petrillo.

Rosemary?s family would like to give a special thank-you to all her doctors, nurses, social workers, family, friends and Dialysis Team at HCC at New Britain General for their support, friendship and kindness, thought her trying times in battling her illnesses. She loved all of you very much and a very special thank you to her good friend, Viola, who cared and helped her in any way she needed to make her happy and comfortable in her latter days.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 at 10:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to Mary Our Queen Church at 11 a.m. for a Mass. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
