Saveria Ragozzino Sabino

Born in Treglia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Elisabetta (Izzo) Ragozzino. She came to the U.S. in 1976 and has lived in Southington ever since.

She was a devout Roman Catholic, a parishioner of St. Thomas Church and a member of the Italian Rosary Society. She was dedicated to her family and loved to sing.

Besides her husband of 63 years, she is survived by daughters Teresa Scirocco (husband Vincenzo) and Josephine Sabino (husband Pasquale Funiciello) of Southington, her two grandchildren Giuseppe Scirocco (wife Tina) and Elisa Plourd (husband Ben), great-grandchildren Nicholas, Giancarlo and Gianna Scirocco, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters in Italy.

A special thanks to Southington Care Center, Dr. Asciuto and Dr. Soucier for the wonderful medical care they provided to her.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5 PM to 8 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
