Shirley P. Derynoski

She was born on Oct. 7, 1928, the daughter of the late Robert and Charolotte (Pentlon) Porterfield. Prior to her retirement she was employed as office manager for Gemco Manufacturing for 28 years.

She is survived by a son David Derynoski and wife MaryLou, a daughter Christine Flugrad and her husband Russell and a son Michael Derynoski and his wife Cari, a son-in-law James Putnam all of Southington, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Charlene Putnam, a granddaughter Darlene Derynoski and 4 sisters and a brother.

Shirley’s family would like to thank the staff at Southington Care Center for their loving care and devotion to her, especially Yolanda, Heather, Cari and Ester and her special friend Nicholas.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 6 pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, May 20th from 4-7 pm.
