It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stacylee Anita (Charron) Aylward, age 53, who passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Stacylee was born on February 28, 1972, in Lewiston, Maine, to Michael and the late Claire (Tancrede) Charron. She met her beloved husband, Michael Aylward, while he was stationed in Hawaii in the military and she was attending school there. They were married for over 30 wonderful years and had three cherished sons, Bryant, Dylan, and Brady, who were the lights of her life.
Stacylee earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Cincinnati and dedicated her life to helping children and families in underserved communities. A passionate advocate for young learners, she managed Head Start programs across the country, ensuring that children from all backgrounds had the opportunities they deserved to succeed. Her commitment to children’s well-being extended to the classroom, where she always went above and beyond for her students, believing that every child deserved a chance to thrive.
Above all, Stacylee’s greatest pride and joy was being a mother. She supported her sons in every aspect of their lives, attending their sports games—especially those filled with hockey, baseball, and soccer. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and her home was always a place of warmth, support, and care.
Stacylee also had a special fondness for family vacations, and she cherished the time spent at Hampton Beach, NH, and Singer Island, FL, with those she loved most.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Aylward; her three sons, Bryant, Dylan, and Brady; her father, Michael Charron, and his wife, Frieda; her brother, Jeff Charron; her two sisters, Tina Hudson and Alyssa Wright; as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Claire (Tancrede) Charron, who welcomed her into eternal peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mount Southington Mountain Room at 412 Mt. Vernon Rd., Plantsville, CT 06479 on 9/7/2025 from 1-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Stacylee’s memory to the American Lung Association.
