Born June 6, 1919 in Pittsburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Gelazela) Gillis.
Stella was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Army Air Corp. She was a member of the VFW Post 7790. Stella retired from U.S. Time (Timex Corp). She had been a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church.
She is survived by two nephews and a niece, David Gillis and his wife Kathy of Southington and Robert Gillis of Plainville and Maureen Gillis of Plantsville, along with great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Louis Gillis and a nephew William Gillis. Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours.
