

Born May 15, 1985 in Peekskill, New York, Tara was the beloved daughter of Samuel and Christine (Delaney) DiGovanni of Meriden.
Tara was a graduate of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, and went on to serve as a revenue officer with the U.S. Treasury in Hartford. She was known for her dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic throughout her career.
Tara had a vibrant spirit and a passion for life. She was an avid dancer and a fitness instructor who inspired others through her energy and enthusiasm. She loved to travel, especially enjoying cruises, and cherished time spent at gatherings with her book club and close friends.
She will be remembered most for the love she shared with her family and friends, her compassionate and caring nature, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Tara was a devoted daughter, a cherished sister, a loving aunt, and a beloved partner whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and joy.
In addition to her parents, Tara is survived by her brother, Cristopher DiGovanni and his wife Lauren of Southington; her niece, Cecilia; and her two nephews, Joshua and Zachary, all of Southington. She also leaves behind her partner, Shaun Heaphy of Middletown, as well as extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She was also a devoted cat mom to her beloved cats, Trixie and Yoshi. Tara’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 14, 226 from 4: PM ~ 5:00 PM at the Meriden Hills Baptist Church, 139 Charles St., Meriden. Refreshments to follow.
