Thaddeus T Kaplita

He was born on July 3, 1926, the son of the late Joseph and Kathryn Kaplita. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Sikorsky Aircraft as an Aeronautical Engineer for over 38 years. Thaddeus enjoyed working outdoors in his yard but most of all his family was his pride and joy.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Paul and wife Karen Kaplita of Southbury, Timothy Kaplita of Southington, William and wife Joanne Kaplita of Wethersfield, George and wife Barbara Kaplita of Wappingers Falls, NY, Joan and husband Donald Clark of Clinton and Stephen and wife Kahnie of Cheshire, 14 grandchildren Jillian, Emily, Michael, Marisa, Mary, William Jr. and wife Margaret, Brian, Thomas and wife Malka, David and wife Nikki, Susan, Ellen, Andrew, Teddy and Matthew and a great grand -daughter Elizabeth as well as two nieces. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Ignatius and Karol and a sister Rose.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St. Cheshire. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington. Calling hours will be on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 4-7 pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington.
