Thelma M. Chamberland

Born November 7, 1937 in St. Anne, New Brunswick, CA, the daughter of the late, Albert and Alice (Martin) Picard. Thelma was a nanny and waitress when she lived in ME before moving to Southington. She loved her summer vacations with her family in Maine and Canada. She enjoyed, tag sales, bowling, scrabble, bingo, painting, watching tennis and the Olympics.

In addition to her husband she leaves her cherished children, Paula McCormack and husband Peter and Philip Chamberland all of Southington. She was an aunt and had several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her cat “cookie”.

She is predeceased by two brothers, Allen and Martin Picard and her sister and best friend, Gaetanne Desjardins.

A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, 9 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc., PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
