Theresa Marie Cyr

Theresa Marie (Ouellette) Cyr, 92, of Bristol, widow of Normand R. Cyr, passed away June 12, 2015 at Apple Rehab Plainville HCC. Born August 30, 1922 in Ouellette, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. Ouellette and Laura (Martin) Ouellette.

Theresa was retired from Critikon where she worked as a line inspector. She was a communicant of St. Matthew Church. She was first and foremost a warm, loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an excellent homemaker. Nothing brought her greater pleasure than to cook and bake for her family. Her home was a gathering place for family reunions.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Duane and Rejeanne Cyr of Bristol; her daughter, Cynthia Galante of Amherst, MA; her grandchildren; Karen and her husband Michael Krotine of Alexandria, VA, Keith and his wife Nicole Cyr of Bristol, Jennifer Restucci of Amherst, MA,Bryan and his wife Carrie Galante of Conifer, CO; six great grandchildren, Amy and Maddie Krotine, Maura and Connor Cyr, Zachary Restucci, Nolyn and Laura Galante, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers; Joseph, Lucien, Arthur, Raoul and Rosaire; and four sisters, Azilda Ouelllette, Cecile Marquis, Leontine Jones and Jeanne Plourd.

A Mass of Christian Burial will held Friday 11 am at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Forestville, CT. Visitation will be Friday 9 am -10am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Burial will be at St Joseph Cemetery in Bristol.
