Theresa Dorothy Moccio

She was born February 8, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Grippo) Columbia.

Theresa was a seamstress in her younger years and then worked in the healthcare field from which she retired. She enjoyed her Sundays of cooking homemade sauce and pasta. Theresa liked to knit, watch soap operas and mafia movies. She looked forward to casino trips and playing the 1 line penny per spin slot machiness. But most of all she loved playing board games and cards with her grandchildren, her family meant the world to her. Theresa will be truly missed, loved and never forgotten and always in our hearts forever!

She is survived by her daughter Maria Moccio of Southington; four grandsons Christopher Moccio, Angelo Moccio, Anthony Hernandez and Dominic Hernandez all of Southington; a sister Lucille Healey of Queens, NY and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Gina Marie Elia; a brother Thomas Columbia and two sisters Joanne Tate and Agnes Apicela.

Funeral services and burial in Oak Hill Cemetery will be celebrated privately with her family. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington has been entrusted with the arrangements.
