Thomas M. Barbieri,75, of Waterbury, New Britain, and Meriden, died on Thursday, May 14,2020, at Silver Springs Care Center in Meriden, CT. Thomas was born in Waterbury, CT on April18, 1945, son of the late Thomas J. and Jennie (Zarillo) Barbieri. He graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a business degree, and was formerly employed by Pratt and Whitney in Southington, CT.
He was an avid Yankees fan, and was never without his hat. He enjoyed traveling, and was especially proud of his trip to China, that he took with his Karate Group. As a car enthusiast, he was often found tinkering with his car. He carefully maintained all his cars, especially his Corvette. He especially loved his family, and looked forward to all the get togethers.
Tom is survived by his five siblings and their families. His sister, Lucille Belomy Ousley, of Walnut Creek, CA, his brother, James, and his wife, Janice, Barbieri, of Jefferson, Georgia, his sister, Madelyn, and husband, Jerome, Albino, of Wolcott, CT, his sister Mary, and her husband, Rocco, Barrese, of Huntington, NY, and his brother Philip, and his wife, Yasuko, of Aomori, Japan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Tom’s family would like to thank the staff of Silver Springs Care Center for their loving care and concern always for Tom.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in the fall. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home in Wolcott has been entrusted with Tom’s care.
