Thomas Leahy

He was born August 20, 1927 in West Haven, son of the late John and Hazel (Dwyer) Leahy. He had retired as a Lineman from SNET after 31 years of service. Tom had served with his twin brother on the same ship in the U.S. Navy during WW II.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children Thomas Leahy Jr. of Southington, David Leahy of Bristol, Keith Leahy of Orlando, FL, and Cheryl Leahy of Southington, four grandchildren, a twin brother Howard John Leahy of Wallingford, and a sister Marie Sillib of Seven Valleys, PA, an uncle Ronald Fitzpatrick of Clifton, NJ, along with several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Tuesday July 31, 2012 at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol Street with Military Honors following. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. on Monday from 5-7 pm.
