

Born in Dover, DE on June 28, 1924, he was the son of the late Thomas C. and Mildred (Darrell) Roberts. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a life member of the VFW 7790 in Oakville. He was a skilled welder and had been employed at Scovill Mfg Co and Century Brass. He also taught welding at Kaynor Technical High School. Thomas built his home in 1953 in Wolcott where he resided most of his life. He was a member of the former Mill Plain Union Church in Waterbury.
He is survived by a daughter Linda Collins of Waterbury, two sons Thomas J. Roberts Jr. and his wife Sheryl of Waterbury, Christopher J. Roberts Sr. and his wife Tami-Lyn (Downey) of Wolcott, three grandchildren Christopher J. Roberts Jr. , Jake R. Roberts, and Rebecca-Lyn Roberts, several nieces and nephews, his beloved dog Max and his extended Downey family. Besides his wife he was predeceased by a daughter Susan E. Roberts, a son-in-law Daniel Collins, and three brothers, Harvey, Raymond and Frank.
