

Viola (Emond) Dubois, 91, of Southington, widow of Herb Dubois Sr., passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Apple Rehab Center of Plainville. Viola, was born on December 27, 1930 in Eagle Lake, ME and was the daughter of the late Adrien and Marceline (Vaillancourt) Emond. Viola was a tremendous baker of cookies, which she did so with love for her grandchildren. When she was not baking, she could be found in her garden tending to her vegetables. She was also a faithful communicant of St. Thomas Church. Viola is survived by her daughter, Darlene Foxworth and her husband Larry of Mustang, OK. She will be missed by her 5 grandchildren, Larry Paul Foxworth of Washington, DC, Jennifer Ketchum of Yukon, OK, Aubrey Quinlan and her husband Shawn of Southington, Adam Dubois of Watertown and Andrew Nellenback of MD. She is also survived by her 5 great-grandchildren, Lauren Ketchum of PA, Sarah Ketchum of Yukon, OK, Abigail Quinlan of NC, Stephen Quinlan of Southington, and Liam Quinlan also of Southington. She is also survived by her daughter in law Gina Dubois of Southington and by another daughter in law, Sandi Dubois and many nieces and nephews. Viola was predeceased by her two sons, Herb Jr., and Glenn and by her two brothers, Paul and Cyr. The family would like to thank the staff at Apple Valley Rehab Center for all care and compassion they provided to Viola. A Mass of Christian Burial for Viola will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM in St. Dominic’s Church, 1050 Flanders Rd, Southington, CT 06489. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
