

Virginia Vellucci, 85 of Palm Harbor, FL, formerly of Southington, CT passed January 21, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born in Santi Cosma e Damiano, Italy to the late Anthony DiRienzo and Elvira Panzanella.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Mario in 1983 and is survived by their children, Raymond (Debbie), Vera Beebe (Bob), Lina Bianca (Michael) and Pina Sherwin.
She was also predeceased by her second husband, Vittorio in 2021 and is survived by his children Raimondo (Donna), Alessandro (Jessica), Guiseppe (Debbie) as well as predeceased by her brother Camillo from England. She is also survived by her brothers, Mario from Italy and Amelio from England as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Virginia immigrated to the United States with her family in 1969 and later obtained her U.S. citizenship. She was a dedicated homemaker and also managed rental properties in Florida. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and baking. She was truly the happiest when she was cooking for family. She was well known for her delicious Italian cooking and baking and her famous Limoncello. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family playing Italian card games. She opened up her home to many, if you walked in a stranger you’d leave as a friend. Family always came first for Virginia and we are comforted to know we will always have these treasured memories of her.
Services will be held on Saturday February 5, 2022 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia funeral home, 211 North Main Street, Southington to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road, Southington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
