William C. Langton

Southington- William Langton, 79, beloved father and friend, passed on to Heaven and reunited with his son Christopher, Friday January 28, 2011 at UConn Health Center. He was the husband of Gladys (Adamowicz) Langton.

He was born March 20, 1931 in Tiverton, RI, son of the late Arthur and Ellen (Dickerson) Langton. He had retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft where he had worked for 40 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of the First Baptist Church. Bill enjoyed seeing his friends at the Y.M.C.A., Graces, Gabby?s, and Foodbag, he will miss you all.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, William Langton of Manchester, Susan South of Meriden, Josh R. Langton of Southington, a brother Arthur Langton of Pensicola, FL, a sister Hazel Costa of Somerset, MA. his grandchildren, Joseph and Heather South and Gavin Langton, a great grandchild, Gracie South along with daughter ?in-law, Kristen Bartlett. He was predeceased by a son Christopher T. Langton and 6 brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at 8pm Thursday at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Thursday 6 pm until the time of the service.
