William "Bill" H. Martin

Born January 27, 1958, to the late James and Elizabeth Martin, he spent his youth on the beaches of Branford, CT.

Over the years, Bill developed a love for playing both soccer and hockey, and he enthusiastically supported the Boston Bruins, Red Sox and Florida Gators. He served his country as a member of the US Navy before starting a career as a Distribution Manager.

In 1998, he married the love of his life, Grace, and together they raised their blended family in Wolcott, Connecticut. Bill enjoyed playing golf, but the beach was definitely his “Happy Place”. In fact, some his best memories were made in Rockport, MA and Narragansett, RI.

In addition to his wife of 25 years, left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kelly, Ashley (Marc), Lauren (Julien), and Erica (Janine); his sister, Susan (Terry); brother, David; and three grandchildren, Brendan, Emily, and Rocco.

Bill’s family would like to thank all the caring staff at LiveWell of Plantsville. Especially the compassionate nurses and caregivers; Justin, Mark, Austin, Jessica, Theresa and Caitlyn. Please join us at Della Vecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St, Southington, CT 06489, Friday, December 22, 2023 from 2-4 pm with a Celebration of Bill's life at 4:00 PM. Military honors will be at the funeral home after the service.
