William J. Stafford

He was born on Sept. 9, 1943 in Lowell, MA the son of the late William and Doris (Gagnon) Stafford. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War as an expert rifleman. He was a member of the American Legion Kiltonic Post #72. Bill enjoyed vacationing in ME, he loved boating and fishing, he was an avid reader and a NY Giant fan and he loved his dog “Skip”.

In addition to his wife he leaves his son Matthew and his wife Krisztina Stafford of Branford, a sister Joan Coppola and husband Will of Bristol, 3 nephews Thomas, Michael and Gary Coppola, sisters-in-law Jeanine Larue and husband David, Linda Giovinazzo, brothers-in-law Thomas Zavorskas, David and Mickey Rioux, Donnie and wife Becky Rioux, David LaRue, Bob and wife Janet Vine and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law Lorraine Zavorskas.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 15th at 7 pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-7 pm.
