Yolanda K. Yorski

Yolanda was born in New Britain, CT on May 3, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Ignacy and Rozalia (Sniadach) Kordek. She was educated in New Britain schools and worked for The Stanley Works earlier in her life. After she left the working field, she concentrated on raising her two children. Yolanda was an excellent cook where she created many Polish dishes. She and her husband enjoyed going to the casino, something she still loved to do. But most of all, she enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her loving family. She will be fondly remembered.

Yolanda is survived by her two children; her son Raymond Yorski and daughter Kathleen Yorski both of Southington, her grandchildren, Pamela Yorski and her husband Craig, Russell Yorski and Marissa Yorski, and by her great-grandchildren, Anthony and Joseph Henderson. She is also survived by her sister, Sophie Dombrowski of Southington. Yolanda was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Darlene Yorski, her granddaughter Amanda Lee Yorski, her brother William Kordek and her sisters, Stella Weksner, Helen Wilk, Adele Wilk and Jennie Diasio. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 20th, 2023 in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, South End Road in Plantsville.
