Born April 23rd 1932, son of Henry and Ruth Blazon of Longmont Colorado. While in high school Gil lettered in football and boxing later joining the Army National Guard. He then went on to sign up with the Coast Guard where he bravely served during the Korean War as a firefighter and in search and rescue. After Gil’s discharge he went to college and was hired by Boeing aircraft where he worked various positions. He went on to enjoy the remainder of his career working as a final inspector of the Boeing 747 aircraft.
Gil’s hobbies he enjoyed were fishing, making whirly gigs and designing model airplanes. Gil came home to the catholic faith in his later years and was faithful to his passing.
Gil is preceded in death by his parents, brother Rob, wives Winona and Dorothy Blazon and brother in law Rick. He is survived by wife Arleene Blazon, sister Maddy and brother Hank. Also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend Tim Wood. Step children Denise, Holly, Julie and Bill. Honored family Q.A. And E.J. Martin, Dan and (Becca), Christine and (Todd) and great grandson Jaxson.
Rosary will be held at Saint Peters Catholic Church on Monday November 12th at 7:00 pm. Memorial will be held at Saint Peters Catholic Church on November 13th at 12:00 pm (noon) with a reception to follow at 1:00 pm. Inurnment and honor guard ceremony will be held at Washington State Veteran Cemetery 21702 w. Espanola rd., Medical Lake, Wa 99022 on November 13th at 3:00 pm.
