Wesley D. Carlson, age 93, passed away February 18, 2011 in Scottsdale, AZ. He was born on November 28, 1917 in Winnipeg, Canada, the son of John and Lillian (Brown) Carlson. In 1946 he moved to Eastern Washington and became a Naturalized US Citizen. Wes worked a variety of jobs in his younger days before starting Carlson Plumbing in 1956. He retired when he was 89 years old. He was a hard working person of few words and high integrity who put the Lord and his family first. He enjoyed 4 wheeling, prospecting, gardening, backpacking and anything outdoors and having his family with him made everything more enjoyable.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bonita Carlson of Spokane, WA; four children, Harold Carlson of Chattaroy, WA, Marilyn Nap (Terry) of Scottsdale, AZ, Cliff Carlson of Wasilla AK, and Elaine Pederson of Spokane, WA; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011, at 1:00 pm, in the Alwin Chapel at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe. Graveside services will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
