Remember Me

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I’ve only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt, and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because, I will remember you all, and look on with a smile. Understand in your hearts, I’ve only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

Amel and I worked together for quite a long time, he always made me laugh and made our time together so fun. I could always count on him to make my day a little bit brighter and make everyone around us have a good time. His personality would brighten up a room and i’m going to miss his smile and laugh. Amel was always such an amazing friend to me. He made a point of keeping in touch after we graduated high school and there was never a time he couldn’t bring a smile to my face. We had plans to catch up once I got home from university but unfortunately those did not come to be. He was loved by so many and will be missed dearly. Such a genuine, kind, selfless, and thoughtful friend. My deepest condolences to his family.

Amel was currently employed with me, and I just wanted to say from the deepest depths of my heart how sorry I am to hear this. He was such a funny and kind young gentleman. We had many talks about his life, his goals and what he wanted for the future. One of the most genuine people I have ever come across. His sense of humor was one we will definitely never forget. If you know him you know what I'm talking about. Haha.
I would just like to extend our condolences from the Lids team. His loss weighs heavy on our hearts.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May he rest in peace.

When I heard about the upsetting news regarding Amel, I looked through my files and found several videos that he submitted as part of the Sales course he took with me. Seeing him in video triggered a flood of memories regarding this lovely young man. He was a good student, a capable student, a pleasant and friendly person and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you, his friends and family.

My thoughts and condolences to Amel's family and friends. He was a very kind and thoughtful young man - and very funny, too. I only taught him in grade 9, but I saw him regularly when he was at Secord and he was always smiling and friendly and eager to help out. This is a terrible loss.

My brother, Jadon, and I worked with Amel. Although it was for a short time we shared a lot of laughs and a lot of pizza’s, something which we are grateful for. He always knew how to put a smile on our faces and made even the most day to day routines fun. His humor, his stories, and his smiles never failed to brighten our days (and our nights). Our deepest condolences go out to his family— your son, brother, and cousin will be greatly missed.

I met Amel at Dominos Pizza when I was a delivery driver. We had long conversations and we laughed and had a great time any time we worked together. I loved working with him and even though I haven't talked to him in a few years I always thought fondly about him and would actually miss his friendship from time to time. Great guy will be missed forever. The world has lost so much that day. Amel was kind, funny, caring, driven to succeed, respectful, and an absolute joy to be around. I can honestly say everyone at dominos in virgil absolutely loved the guy. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. I will totally miss Amel and have him in my thoughts for the rest of my days. Rest in peace brother.
