Amy Loretta Wetherley Riley

Passed away peacefully at Tufford Nursing Home in her 87th year on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Predeceased by the love of her life John (1999) and her granddaughter and angel Kimberly (1991); beloved mother of Rick & Stephanie Riley of Cobourg & Cherie & Bruce Race of St. Catharines; cherished grandma of Matthew (Emily) of Barrie, Daniel of Cobourg & Paul (Maretta) of Thornhill; Amy will be sadly missed by many nieces & nephews; lovingly remembered by the Race’s – Martin, Michelle, Kaitlin, Michael, Julian & Luca of Thorold & Mary-Jo of California. The joy of Amy’s life was her family & the abundance of love she gave us impacted all our lives & made us who we are today. She was truly a kind & gentle soul & will be truly missed. Our heartfelt thank you to Dr. Rose who took such good care of Mom for many years. You are truly special & your compassion & dedication to Mom & our family is appreciated more than you know. Thank you to the staff at Tufford Nursing Home for the loving care given to Amy over the past 3 years.

Friends will be received at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) on Saturday, November 13th from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery will take place on Monday, November 15th at 1:00 p.m. Donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
