
Died peacefully at home in his sleep on Monday morning December 6, 2010 in his 86th year. He is survived by his children Robert (Deborah), Nicholas (Michael), Helen (Roland) and Andrew (Susan) his grandchildren Nicholas, Valerie, Maria Luigia, Meghan, Anastasia, Robert, Andrew, James, Virginia and Mary Jane; and his dear sister Ella Pentecost. Born to Helen and Robert Dunlop on April 12, 1925 in Falkirk, Scotland. Moved to Canada in 1948, where he met and married Nicholas Clark on December 31, 1949 in Hamilton, Ontario where they raised their four children. Andy enjoyed reminiscing about working at the co-op in Falkirk, driving truck for Shell Oil, owning concessions at various Vic Tanny Gyms in Southern Ontario, being called the “kissing and dancing “ waiter at the Pillar and Post and selling real estate. One of his greatest privileges and honours was serving with the Royal Navy in WW II, to the end he was an active member of the Royal Navy Association and until recently, participated in annual parades, events and activities through the Association. Andy liked to help those in times of need and trouble. He will be remembered for his love of a good conversation, sports, exercise, most importantly, for the love of children and the elderly. He will be missed. The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346). On Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Thursday December 9, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 53 Church Street.
