Carolyn Aitken

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Lyn (Carolyn) Frances Arlene Aitken (nee Bonisteel) on December 30, 2014, at the age of 73 years, after an extended period of illness. Lyn was predeceased by her husband Carl, father Frank, mother Edna and sister Gail. She is survived by her children Colin (Tracey), Cathy, and Cheryl (John); grandchildren Kristina (Graeme), Anthony, Amy-Leigh (James), Thomas, and great-grandchildren Brooke-Lyn and Jessa-Lyn. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. In her earlier years Lyn worked for Bell Canada, and then later at Foster Wheeler for several years. She spent the last years of her life volunteering at Wellspring Niagara, which gave her great satisfaction to be able to contribute and make a difference for others.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines (905-684-6346), on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11 am, with reception following.
