

The Grande Dame of our lives has moved up in the world and joined the angels.
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Kay Isaac at King Gardens Retirement Home Mississauga on Sunday Oct 22nd at the age of 83.
Kay was predeceased by her husband Charlie Isaac.
She is lovingly remembered by Vera Isaac (Stan), George (Jennifer) Isaac,
Jo-Anne (Carl) Copeland and Dianne Lalonde . She will be deeply missed by her two grandchildren Charles Copeland and Jessica Eaman.
She is predeceased by her brothers Joe and Mike and her sisters Doris and Mary,
She is survived by her sister Vera and sister in law Ruby.
Kay (Auntie Cassie) will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Kay was a registered nurse graduating from Hamilton General in 1946.
This second to none Florence Nightingale had a long and varied nursing career spanning over 40 years in New York City, St. Catharines, and Brampton. Her skillful nursing care and generous spirit was greatly appreciated by her patients and their families.
When her batteries needed recharging she sought refuge in the sunny climes of Antigua where her second family affectionately refers to her as Auntie Kay.
Artistically talented , she sent ceramic angel creations around the globe , fashioned silver trays and performed sewing miracles . She also found time to be a prize winning gardener and prize winning deep sea fisher woman.
She will be most remembered for her love of dancing and bingo and her warm and loving home that provided refuge for many a tender/wayward student.
Despite being crippled by the adversity of heart attacks , neurological disease and broken bones she maintained her indomitable spirit and joy for life.
Kay was an active participant in the many activities at King Gardens retirement home, making many friends with the residents and staff. She will be deeply missed by her friends there. The family would like to thank the staff for their excellent care given to Kay over the years.
The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St., St. Catharines on Thursday October 26th, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Friday October 27th, 2006 from 11 – 1. (905-684-6346). We will be celebrating her life on Friday October 27th, 2006 at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
