

Was peacefully called home, with his family at his side, at his residence at PeopleCare Oakcrossing, London on January 19, in his 95th year. Rev. Henderson will be deeply missed by his wife Anne Marie and step-children Brad, Katie, Rebecca and Greg, grand-daughter Julia and ‘adopted’ grand-daughter Jonna. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Anne McLean, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his wife Ethel Irene (Pridham) in 1992, brother James in 1994, sister-in-law Amy, and brother Joseph in 2007. He was a faithful servant to Christ for the duration of his life, spreading his light and love everywhere without limitation. After graduating from Knox College, Toronto in 1945, he served several churches across Canada for over 60 years and was instrumental in establishing places of worship for four congregations; Scottlea in St.Catharines, Kirk-on-the-Hill in Fonthill, as well as St. Lawrence and Oakridge in London.
Friends and family will be received at Hulse & English Funeral Home, 75 Church St., St. Catharines on Friday January 25, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service celebrating Charles life will be held on Saturday January 26 at Scottlea Presbyterian Church 515 Scott St. St.Catharines at 11a.m. Reception to follow. Interment at Nassagaweya Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 3pm. Special thanks to all the staff at PeopleCare Oakcrossing and private caregivers Cathi, Jody and Eleanah.
