With broken hearts we announce the passing of a beautiful woman & gentle soul while surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Ken, the love of her life who welcomed her with open arms. Most beloved and amazing Mom to Corrine & Sean McKernan, Maureen & Tim Reynolds and the Batman to her Robin, Steve Cox. Doting and cherished Nannie Pie to Zachary (Kaylee), Marlie (Sam), Joshua (Stephanie), Samantha & Noah (Christine). Adoring GG to Cian and Elsie (who was born on GG's birthday, May 5, 2019). Loving sister of Lynda Shires.

Diane was always at her happiest when she was with her family. Whether it meant spending hours in a cold arena, or a rainy soccer field, a simple picnic in the park, an impromptu backyard campfire or summers in PEI.

She was a long time, active member of St. James Anglican Church (Merritton) where she cherished her time as part of the Altar Guild, the choir and the "Linen Sisters". More recently she was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration.

Mom loved her family unconditionally, always putting them first. Her love will continue forever.

SHE WAS THE BEST!

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the amazing, caring staff at Hospice Niagara for the tender care shown our Mom. Special thank you to Dr. Kerley, Dr. Kalchman and Minister Cathie Crawford-Browning.

We invite family & friends to share memories of Mom during visitation to be held at the Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines (905-684-6346) on Tuesday, May 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Diane’s life will be held at the Church of the Transfiguration, 320 Glenridge Avenue, St. Catharines on Wednesday May 22nd at 11am. Interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.

If so desired, donations made to Hospice Niagara or the Niagara Children's Centre in Diane's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family. Online tributes may be made at www.hulseandenglish.com

So sorry to hear about Aunt Diane, I will always remember the good times we had visiting with her, Uncle Ken, Corrine, Maureen and Steve, on our many family trips to St Catherines from Nova Scotia. Paula, Tish and I got to experience her willingness to still "pick" on me and my Maritime ways last summer when we visited with Sean, Corrine, Josh and Stephanie in PEI. (I always knew she like the Maritimes deep down.) It is in the memories we hold and in their stories we tell, that forever keeps them alive in our hearts.

Such a lovely tribute to your Mom. She was always ready to volunteer for anything going on at St. James. Always spoke with love and pride when talking about her family. I know you will all miss her but I know you have so many wonderful memories. Thinking of you Maureen, Corinne and Steve and sending hugs and prayers. She was also an awesome Baker, likeoved the Twix bars.
