Entered into rest peacefully at St. Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Don at the age of 85 was the beloved husband of Diane (nee Barron) for 61 years. Proud and much loved dad of the late Daren (Patty), Dave (Gina), and Danya Continelli. Devoted and loving papa/poppa of Megan, Kyle, Nico and Reece. Dear brother of Sharon (Marv Smith). Predeceased by sister in law Colleen (Ron Brix) and brother in law Dennis Barron (Ruth). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Don was an avid sports fan; playing hockey, tennis and golf and watching all the great games with his family. After retirement, Don and Diane enjoyed many significant holiday travels with family and friends. He was a hardworking man, who loved his family above all.
In keeping with Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held later at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Don’s family are planning a gathering to celebrate his life in the summer, with more details to follow.
