

Eileen came to this country from England in 1957 with her husband Frank, sons Graham, Malcolm and Bryan. In 1959, the couple were blessed with a baby daughter, Joanne Jean. Eventually the family settled in St. Catharines. Over the years, Eileen worked for Walker’s and Steinbergs Stores. She did volunteer work for the General Hospital and the Red Cross. Eileen was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 138 Ladies Auxiliary for over 40 years. She was the recipient of several medals and certificates including one from Prime Minister Jean Chretien and a special award from Ladies Auxiliary Zone Command. Eileen is predeceased by her husband Frank (1987), sons Graham (2001) and Malcolm (1987). She leaves behind her son Bryan (Helen), daughter Joanne, daughters-in-law Rosemarie and Lorene, grandchildren Heather (Shawn), Tricia (Scott), Shannon (George) and Jason (Karla), and great-grandchildren Marcus, Logan, Joshua, Kiera, Alex and Emily.
Visitation will be held at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines, on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 138 - Ladies Auxiliary will hold at service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Service to honour Eileen will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 10 am. Cremation to follow.
