I worked closely with Liz for many years.  She always had a ready smile for everyone and always lent a willing hand.  My condolences to the family for the loss of such an amazing person.

My condolences to Liz’s family and friends. I worked very closely with Liz during my time as the Associate Dean for the Canadian Food and Wine Institute at NC and we shared many laughs during my time there. She dearly loved her family and we spent quieter times at work taking about my family and hers. May she rest in peace.

So sorry to read this obituary. Liz and I worked closely for many years at Niagara College. She sure was good at what she did and loved what she did. Liz kept us all in line for sure.

Liz is sitting in the chair in this 1961 photo of my 10th birthday party. We were born only weeks apart and were best friends in those formative years, She  was bright, fun and funny with beautiful eyes and  lovely smile!

I am deeply sorry to hear of Liz’s passing. Liz was my very first friend in Kindergarten and I still remember the  sparkle in her pretty brown eyes . We became ‘Besties’ in those formative years at Edith Cavell School …then Power Glen school for grade 7. I have the fondest memories of her from my childhood. We were born only weeks apart. Our family moved and we grew apart, as children do . We did connect once in adulthood and had such a lovely long chat ….but life was busy….and I lived in another city. Still she is such a dear part of my childhood memories. Sending my deepest condolences to all the family.

Janet and David,  so sorry for your loss.  Liz was always so UP, friendly and had a heart of gold.  Loved her smile. A very special lady.  She will be missed dearly by so many friends and family.  The pain will fade but the fond memories will be in our hearts forever.   Yet another reminder to hold our loved ones close, share memories and many many hugs.

Janet it was quite a shock to read this obit. Didn’t know she was ill. She was my flower girl when I got married and was always so special to me.  My heart goes out to you and Lorrie and the families you are in my prayers.

To me, a younger cousin, Liz was this wonderful outgoing big sister kind of person in my life.  She would tease and cajole and make me, and everyone feel special in her own unique way.   She was often the life of the family get together & she didn’t just mix it up with her younger cousins, but with her Mom & Dad, her Aunt Peg and even her Uncle George, and of course her siblings too. :).  It was easy and fun to be at the Dempster house when Liz was around.  Everyone got scolded in that unique and warm-hearted way that came so naturally to Liz.   Later in life it mellowed a bit, but flashes of it were there as time progressed and we got older, and more mature.  Liz was warm and fun, and smart and caring.

My deepest sympathies to Gerald and the children.  And to Janet and David and Lorrie.

I am very saddened to learn that my first cousin Liz Dempster has passed. Liz and I were close in age and I have very fond memories of our interactions as children in her home, my home and family events. Liz was a kind, happy and welcoming person. A beautiful individual.  Much like her mother and father who were also exceptional people. I am sorry for husband Gerard, daughter Michelle and sisters Janet and Laurie. We all retain the hope that there is a better place for all of us and I believe when we get there we will be presented with Liz’s beautiful smiling face.
