Farley Lefty Burnham

Farley peacefully passed into the spirit world at his daughter Tammy’s home in St. Catharines surrounded by loved ones. He transitioned with singing, drumming, and traditional last rights in the native language. Nya:węh Jackie Labonte. Son of Huron Burnham and Muriel and Leona Forshner. Grandfather to Tamara Burnham, Juliette Burnham, Brad Burnham, Hannah Burnham, Chad Burnham, Katie Burnham, Jovie Burnham, Jordyn Burnham, Jorgia Burnham, Journey Burnham, and all the loving grandchildren gifted by Cherie. Father to Tammy Burnham (Mike predeceased), Wayne Burnham (Bailey), Cherie Thompson (Sean), predeceased by son Scott Burnham. Farley will be missed by many loving sisters, brothers, special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Brother Roger and Farley will be best friends forever. Predeceased by Rocky, Joan, Carter, Dennis, Pepsi, and Wanda. Thanks to nurse Melissa Brown for surrounding Farley Burnham and his family with love during this hard time. To all the nurses and PSWs, you are all amazing. Special Thank you to Marie Jones and all her special helpers. Bobbi Jones Japp, Wendy Jones, and all the amazing helpers from the community and the Niagara Regional Native Centre. Elaina Jones for her gift of songs that brought a big smile to Farley’s face. Thank you to Niece Shelley Burnham for her loving support and opening her home to her favourite Uncle for a place to rest on his journey. Thank you Tanya Steinbeck, for always being there with a loving heart. Thank you to Dr. Salter, Sue Abraham, Chelsey, Sally, and the Pyramid team for everything they did.

Family and friends are invited to pay respect to Farley at the Hulse and English on November 24, 2021, from 10-12 located at 75 Church St, St. Catharines. He will also be resting in Six Nations at 1496 Seneca Rd, back house on Wednesday evening. Thursday, November 25, 2021, the Funeral procession will commence from 1496 Seneca Rd to Lower Cayuga Longhouse at 11 am. Traditional funeral to follow. Everyone welcome.
