Geraldine "Gerry" Catherine (Née Bucknam) McGeorge

March 15, 1931November 27, 2019

Finally got herself out of a sticky wicket and was reunited with her loving husband Eddie McGeorge (1996). She passed away peacefully on November 27, 2019 at the age of 88 at Tabor Manor surrounded by her family.

Loving mother of Sharon Morris (Bryan 2013), Al McGeorge (Kelly), and Kathy Campbell (Blair). Nana to Sean (Shaunna) and Holly, Cody and Bre (James) (and their mother Chris), and Carley and Danny. G-Nana to Reilly. She will be dearly missed by her 'twin' sister Fay Oliver (Lloyd, 1986) who so lovingly supported Gerry for so many years from her apartment just down the hall, brothers Donny (Sunny) and Tom Bucknam, and brother-in-law Tom Robinson (Elaine, 2016).

She was predeceased by her siblings Howard Bucknam and Betty Bartlett (Mel). Gerry was a quick-witted, independent, and loving woman. She grew up in Orillia before settling in St. Catharines. She was a Bingo and Yahtzee enthusiast, a proud Blue Jays fan, and an avid reader. She enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach and their cottage at Jones Beach. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends especially over coconut cream pie.

Gerry and her family are so thankful for the compassionate care provided by the staff at Tabor Manor with a special shout-out to her 'best bud' nurse AJ (see you at the wedding). Heartfelt thanks to her dining sisters, Aafje, Parania and Jadwiga, who embraced her from day one.

The family will receive visitors at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Gerry's life in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Tabor Manor would be appreciated by the family.

Sharon, Al and Cathy

I can recall community breakfasts at the cottage on Jones Beach and that they were of epic proportions.
Mrs. McGeorge was always a fixture in the shop for Grape and Wine parades . Although I never arrived early enough at the shop to bear witness I am sure that she was the one in " charge ".

She will be missed
