HEATON, Gordon E. – Peacefully in St. Catharines on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Norma. Loving father of Kimberley Lemke. Cherished and caring grandfather of Scott and Hannah. He will be sadly missed by Genevieve and Don Heaton and family. Gordon was employed with General Motors for 45 years until his retirement in 1979. He was a member of the Masons (Maple Leaf Lodge) A.F. & A.M., a longstanding member of the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club, a chairman of the United Way and the drummer of the Midnight Cruises from Port Dalhousie to Toronto. A special heartfelt thank you to the staff at Extendicare for their care and support.
The family will receive friends at THE HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, May 10, 2003 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the United Way would be appreciated by the family.
