Susan,
So glad to have met you at Tabor and to have shared many happy moments in the sunshine with your dad and Ivy.
But it was a shock to learn about Irwin’s passing . Ivy and I enjoyed his memories of the former Thompson Products where he and Ivy worked together.
He was so fond of Ivy- always holding her hand and saying such nice things to her.
Ivy can no longer miss him since ironically she passed away last Tuesday but I will certainly miss him. I know you do and will always miss your dear dad. Please accept my condolences.

Nothing but great memories of Uncle Slim who was always smiling and loving. Our two daughers, Ann and Kim, will always remember the fun they had during our visits to St. Catharines. To Stephen and Susan, all our condolescences for the loss of a super dad. Sorry we could not make it for the funeral but you are both in our thoughts.

I used to work with Irwin years ago in his home as a PSW. He was always a joy to visit and was always so full of funny things to say. He talked all the time about how much he loved his family, and how proud he was of all of his relatives. I was very sad to see the news of his passing and wanted to send my condolences to the family he loved so very much. * Sarah H ( Paramed)

I was lucky enough to work on the 1st floor where Irwin resided at tabor manor. We instantly became friends. He had a kind and gentle soul . Once in a while you come across a special Resident and Irwin was that person. I will miss him deeply. Until next time my friend.

So very sad to hear of Slim's passing....my deepest sympathy to all the family...Slim and Alma were regular customers at the Shoppers Drug Mart where I worked for many years...Slim had such a great sense of humor and loved to tease Alma...I was so priviledged to have know them both for many years...we shared lots of stories and good times...Slim always looked for his hug when he visited the store. He would call and order his lottery tickets and would say....Now Lois...you know what I want....such a warm and gracious man who will be so sorely missed...always in my thoughts and prayers

Our hearts go out to Diane, Stephen, Susan and their families. Growing up across town allowed for a special relationship that I cherished. Visits to Meadowlark Crescent were always a treat. Uncle Slim was always the gracious host: the pool was always open, the bar was always stocked and he was always ready for a debate on hockey! He was a great man who will be greatly missed.

I am the niece of Alma. Aunt Alma was like another mother to me. When Alma and Slim first started dating, I would not let Slim sit next to my Aunt. I had to sit between the two of them. I was jealous of Uncle Slim and the attention he seemed to be getting from my Aunt. I will always remember the vacations that we went on and the many, many hours spent at each other's homes. Our families were very close. One of my favorites were the fireworks in the backyard at the Payne household. It was a yearly event and one that I truly looked forward to. I am grateful to have had these memories to cherish forever. I am happy that you are with the love of your life now.
