MEYERS, James - Jim (1925-2011) Passed away peacefully a week before his 86th birthday. He was surrounded by his family. His love for God , love for others, and his faithful service to those whose lives he touched will always be in our hearts. At home, work, Friendship, Out of the Cold, Shalom, church and in the rest of his far reaching community he has had a lasting impact. Jim will be deeply missed by his wife Clazin of 60 years and his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; Elly and Bram Hoff: Shannon; Aron, Rachel, Norah and Jaden; Marcel; Ben, Zoe and Rowley; Kristin and Antoine; Julie and Jarrett; Pete and Jacqueline; Fred and Sandy Meyers: Jim, Patricia and Jarvis; Blake and Rebecca; Jordan; Helen and John Ysselstein: Shep and Colleen; John, Genevieve and Kurtis; March and Sylvia;Daniel; David; Sharon and Jeff Buisman: Janine and Luke; Katelyn; Sarah; Heather. He is survived by two brothers and a brother-in-law in the Netherlands. Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 278 Parnell Road, St. Catharines from 1:30 p.m.-4 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8 p.m. A celebration of his life and faith will take place on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Covenant Christian Reformed Church. Sincere thanks to the staff of St. Catharines General Hospital for their loving support. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Beacon Christian Schools, a cause that Jim supported throughout his whole life in Canada.
