Born in St. Catharines, Janet spent her life rooted in the community she called home. She was a strong, independent woman with a love for simple pleasures and open roads. Janet especially enjoyed riding her Harley, working on puzzles, and tending to her garden—activities that reflected both her adventurous spirit and her patience.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Nicolaas Stroomer Jr. and Theresa Stroomer (Jason), and by her cherished grandchildren Alivia Stroomer, Lukas Stroomer, Aaron Walker, and Annalea Walker. She is also survived by her brothers, Jack Karr and James Karr.
Janet was predeceased by her parents, Jack K. Karr and Greeta Hillman.
She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will follow at a later date.
