John Edward Agnew

Passed away peacefully at Upper Canada Lodge, in Niagara-On-The-Lake, on Thursday, December 26, 2013. Predeceased by his parents, Edward (1986) and Betty Agnew (1993). Beloved brother of Ruth (Len) Legros of St. Davids and Michael (Janice) Agnew of St. Catharines. Loving uncle to Michelle and James (Stefanie) Legros, and Jordin and Jillian Agnew. Great uncle to Colton Legros.

Born December 17, 1950, John grew up and lived with his parents in St. Catharines. He always looked forward to attending the Canadian National Exhibition with his family each year. He also took joy in going to the local hobby shop on weekends and going to watch movies at the theatre. John was a long time resident of Upper Canada Lodge. He was proud to have been crowned “King of the Lodge” on two occasions, and took great pride in being and active member of their community.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and families of Upper Canada Lodge, who looked out for and took care of John during his residency. Cremation has taken place and a private family ceremony will be held. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Upper Canada Lodge or to a charity of your choice.
