Marion Margaret Meikle McArthur

MC ARTHUR, Margaret- Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Sunday March 11, 2012 in her 95th year with her family by her side. Beloved sister of Jean Isobel Baker (the late Leslie), loving mother to Judy (John) McMahon and devoted Nannie to Katherine (Dave) Donaldson, and Neil (Celine) McMahon. Cherished aunt to Becky (the late Paul) Linton, LesAnne (John) Morrison, and Erin (Tim) Stahl. Also survived by 6 great nieces and nephews. Known as “Marnie” to many family and friends, she will be sadly missed. Marg was an active volunteer with many organizations, including The Red Cross Transport during the Second World War, Honorary President of the May Court Club of St. Catharines and an honorary member of St. Catharines Golf and Country Club. She was a long time member of St. Thomas Church. Visitation with the family will take place from 11:00-12:00 on Saturday April 21st, at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346), followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 in the chapel. At her request, cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made to the Niagara Health System-Walker Family Cancer Centre, or a charity of your choice.
