Michael Jason Bridges

February 8, 1983 – January 7, 2009

Mike was taken from us suddenly and tragically on Wednesday, January 7th in Port Colborne at the tender age of 25.

He will be forever remembered and loved by the love of his life Stef Ptolemy, his mother Maggie and his father the late Eric Bridges (predeceased in 2000), brother to Steve (Carey) and Kristen (Tony). Special Uncle to Andrew, Clara, Brady, Eric and Emma. Loved like another son by Ken and Jodie Ptolemy and special friend to Ed Bohonos. Mike will be fondly remembered and missed by many friends and co-workers and his cherished cat Tibby and dog Sasha.

Mike was an employee for G4S Group 4 Securicor for 2 years, a graduate of Lakebreeze Elementary, Dalewood Elementary and Governor Simcoe Secondary School. He also received a diploma in Police Foundations from Trios College in Hamilton and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Mike was a family man and a good friend. He loved to help others and was always someone to call on. He always had projects on the go and loved to fix and build things most recently in his new home with Stef. He was loved by everyone he met and would always make you laugh. He touched you with his kindness, generosity and big heart and he will live on forever in our hearts.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St. (905-684-6346). A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from St. George’s Anglican Church, 83 Church St. Cremation to follow.
