Peacefully on December 17, 2020 at the GNGH in Niagara Falls, at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Irene (August 21, 2004). Cherished step-father of Karen (David) Morgan and David Conners. He will be remembered with affection by his sister Leona. Predeceased by his siblings, Adelard, Armand, Eugene, Laurent, Alida, and Florence. Omer will also be remembered by his many relatives.
Omer had a varied career; he started out working at the family farm and then later worked at Inco in Sudbury. He retired from General Motors, St. Catharines in 1990. In 2015, Omer went to his first Maisonneuve family reunion held in Fournier, Ontario. This event always held a special spot in his heart.
Special thanks to the Paramedics, and staff in Unit C. They all are true heroes.
Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel (905-684-6346).
