Pieter "Peter" Bruinsma

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Bruinsma on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022. Pre-deceased by his wife of 44 years Terry Bruinsma and his loving friend Lynda Contant.

He will be greatly missed by his children Denise & Dan, Steven & Rhonda. Opa was greatly loved by his granddaughters Hannah and Eve. Brother of Teresa deJong (2013), Bill, Janny Verkuyl, Homer, Gordon (2014), Shirley Banks, Ann Leppard and Larry and their spouses. He will fondly be remembered by Terry’s siblings, Curtis & Angela, Allan & Lenny. He will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Many will be looking for him fishing on the pier, take a moment and remember him there and maybe you will get a bite!

Visitation and Funeral will be held at Covenant Christian Reformed Church. 278 Parnell Road, St Catharines. Visitation Thursday May 5th, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Friday May 6th at 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be livestreamed and available for viewing at https://youtu.be/SbKJNvB7bs4. A Private family interment will be held prior to the service.

Please join the family immediately following the service for fellowship and refreshments.

Out of respect the family would appreciate the wearing of masks at the visitation and funeral.
